Bike Maine

Comes to Bethel!

We are beyond giddy to announce that

Bike ME has chosen our very own Bethel for its layover stop. During this time up to 400 cyclists from all over the world will be flooding our town. Best part, LFC has been chosen to host the riders for a local foods breakfast and dinner. If you would like to help or donate food from your farm or garden please contact us. Your support will be crucial to the success of this project!

COOKING AND GARDEN WORK

IN SCHOOLS

Local Food Connection is available for cooking and gardening work within all schools in SAD44. Current projects include a "Foreign Foods, Local Ingredients" cooking series with THS students enrolled in the afterschool MKA program

COLLABORATION WITH

THE SENIOR COLLEGE

The Senior College and our newly appointed Youth Extension, GOT Farms, have a long history of partnership that LFC would like to build on and continue. Beyond that LFC will be partnering to host a "A Brown Bag Lunch" program  on May 5th, 12:15pm at the  Bethel Inn Library.   The discussion will be focusing on the budding local food initiatives in the area and how we can all support those efforts and play a part in fostering a healthier community. Please RSVP by May 1 to Nancy Davis
